The Bunny Hill
by Tessa Dean November 2020
Anna stared down the bunny hill at the children skiing. She felt stupid being relegated to the bunny hill at 41 years old. What must those little children think? All grown up and unable to ski down a little hill.
Anna was terrified if truth be told. She couldn’t get herself to shove off and glide down the hill. The children made it look so easy.
Just then, a kid came by and gave Anna a shove, and she started down the hill, legs and arms flailing. The bump at the bottom gave her a cast to remember this trip.

Haha, poor Anna! This would be me if I ever decided to try skiing!

Oh dear! A case of your fears coming true!

That was partially true although I did not get pushed and I didn’t break a leg.

I felt a little guilty about laughing – but it didn’t stop me! Nice one.

Poor Anna. It doesn’t sound as though skiing is for her

It’s not for me either. That was partially story minus the push down the hill and broken foot. I couldn’t even ski on the bunny slope. Physically my hips went out when I tried to do the snow plow to stop. When I finally did ski down I had to fall at the bottom to keep from hitting the people who were lined up there and the building. It wasn’t the most fun I have ever had LOL!

Ouch! I hope the horrid child gets his come-uppance.

Those bunny hills are trickier than they look.

You aren’t kidding. I was on one and it almost killed me. LOL@

The kid who pushed her probably figured he was giving her the encouragement she needed :). I’ve been in that exact situation, only it wasn’t a kid who gave me a nudge. It was my fiance. And I did marry him over 51 years ago 🙂

Nice ending. Congratulations on such a long marriage. Rare in this day and age, but common back then. My parents were married almost 60 years when my mom passed. I was divorced 21 years ago. I am surprised it lasted that long. It wouldn’t have if I had been braver.

I’m sorry for the divorce, but it sounds as if you have recovered and become stronger. Yay, You!

Thanks, yes I am fine. Better than being miserable all the time.
