The Birthday Party Part 2 (here is part 1)
By Tessa Dean January 2021
Thomas tore the rented tux off, changed into his jeans and tee shirt, and dashed over to the shop to return it. He told the older woman at the desk the story of why he was returning it and she said that she would return the fee he paid to rent it as she also believed in family being important and she was happy that his girlfriend was so understanding.
Thomas went home and told his friends that Ginny was actually going to attend Anthony’s first birthday party instead of insisting they go to this fancy charity affair that she had planned on and he had just returned the tux to the shop. His friends began teasing him that she was just saying that and that she would most likely ask one of them to take her to the charity affair instead.
Thomas’s hopes were slightly dashed. Would she do that to him? She seemed sincere when she said it was ok with her and that she would be honored to go to the birthday party. Now Thomas had to wait and see what Ginny would actually do tomorrow night. Maybe he should call and let her know what time he would be picking her up for the party and see what she says. No, he had to trust her. She seemed sincere and he would wait and see whether she called him to find out what time he would pick her up and go from there. He wanted to trust her, despite what his friends said.
