Pensitivity101 Rules:
Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you.
You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise!
I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.

Ginny’s clock radio went off and she stretched out under her sheets and blankets. She was staying at the Banks’s house for now and she had decisions to make. The Banks had been kind enough to let her stay on their couch for the last few weeks since her mom passed away, but she couldn’t stay here forever It wasn’t fair to them either. She had a house that was hers although she was all alone in it. She was a grownup now and had to start acting like one.
She returned to school yesterday and was told that she needed to find a second year student to be her mentor. Most of the nurses had already paired up. She took the list of names of the second year nurses who still needed partners. The only one she knew was Georgeanna Constantine. She actually lived not too far from Ginny. Maybe she still needed a junior partner.
She called the number and a male’s voice answered. “Um,” Ginny stuttered, “I am looking for Georgeanna Constantine.”
“Damn that school,” the male voice exploded. “My name is George Constantine. Someone keeps adding the Anna on it and I think they do it for fun. I am sorry if you are looking for a woman, I am definitely not one.”
“Oh, my God, I am so sorry. The paper says Georgeanna Constantine and I just assumed you were a woman. My name is Ginny Carpenter and I am a first year nurse and I was told I needed to get a second year nurse as a mentor. There are only a couple of names on here and the address is near mine and I thought I knew you, but boy was I wrong. I, ah, well do you still need a first year nurse to mentor?”
“Sure, Ginny, but will your boyfriend mind?”
“I don’t think so, George. I am sure he trusts me. Will your girlfriend mind?”
“Honey, my wife won’t mind as long as you behave yourself,” George was laughing so loud that she took the phone away from her ear.
“Uh, George, ok thanks. My phone number should be on the list. I am not really sure how this mentoring program works.”
“Basically if you have any questions and I can answer them, I will, otherwise just try to do what I do if you are unsure of something.”
“Thanks, George. Oh by the way, are we supposed to meet or anything?”
“Once a week, we’ll get lunch and talk about whatever might be troubling you about the nursing classes. Write down any questions that can wait. Otherwise you can call me if you need to. You have my number. Bye bye!”
Ginny stared at the silent phone in her hand. I can hardly wait.
