When I first saw the picture I thought of squeezing the brain or shrink as they sometimes call it. The person appears to be wearing a hospital gown so I immediately thought of someone in a mental hospital and having spent two occasions in one myself, I can say it is not a particularly happy memory.

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge. Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you. You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly. You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish. Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise! I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.
Your three words are:
SOFTLY GONE HOUR

The kittens barely an hour old, mewed softly around their mother searching for something to eat. Eventually, without opening their eyes, each kitten found a teat to suckle on and they sucked gently till the milk was gone.

Thomas and Ginny had gotten up early and gone to meet the realtor first thing in the morning. It was so early, the birds were still singing in the trees.
Ginny didn’t want to outlive her stay with the Banks and she had a house of her own which she didn’t want to live in. She told Thomas she wanted to sell it and with the down payment from her mom’s trust fund they should be able to find a nice starter house. They only needed two bedrooms to start. After the 2nd child was born, unless it was a different sex, they could share a room.
The realtor had brought them out to see a modern two bedroom bungalow. It was surrounded by a nice yard with lots of trees. It would be the perfect starter home. With the money from the sale of her house and the downpayment from her trust fund, they ended up with a small monthly, affordable mortgage. Ginny would start living in it right away and once married Thomas would move in to stay.
There were no overnight stays and they both held true to their celibacy vows. Thomas came over when he was not working or going to school and he would do small repairs around the house until Ginny came home, whether it was from school or work. They didn’t spend too much time alone there together because it was too tempting to forget their vows of celibacy.
Ginny, with the help of Mrs. Banks, continued with the wedding plans. Mrs. Banks became her mother in real life in all ways possible. Ginny splurged on the gown she wanted. The lawyer, Mr. Zimmerman walked Ginny down the aisle to a very excited Thomas. The priest pronounced them Man and Wife and they had their very first deep kiss as husband and wife and both were very excited to leave for their honeymoon in the Bahamas.
The reception was held at the restaurant that both Mrs. Banks and Ginny worked at. Their boss gave them a discount.
The honeymoon at a plush tropical resort was everything they could have hoped for and there they finally lost their virginity. They arrived home with smiles on their faces. Life returned to normal. Almost!
Nine months later Suzanna Amelia Banks arrived.
