Pensitivity101 Rules:

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you.
You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.

I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise!
I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.

*****Cassie’s Point of View*****

Cassie was sitting in the dark. She was hunched together and trying to avoid the nasty, urine-smelling blankets below her. The smell was something she couldn’t do anything about and there was no fresh air so it smelled pretty bad in there. She was pretty sure she was in a basement although she couldn’t see the windows from where she was. There had been some light earlier, but it must be night now. She had no idea how many days she had been there.

She was taking small sips of the bottled water because she didn’t want to have to use the bucket to pee in. That was just gross. She examined her clothing and except for her shoes, everything else seemed to be intact. Did that mean she wasn’t raped? She hoped so. Memories were slowly returning and with it the realization that it had been Wayne who kidnapped her. He and his filthy friends. There were three of them altogether. Being right about her mistrust of him there at the end didn’t make her feel any better. She was currently locked up in a cage.

A rat scurried across the floor. Cassie shrieked, “Wayne, let me out of here. What are you trying to pull? Let me out NOW!” She hugged herself tighter. She so wanted this to be part of the drug-induced visions, but she was fairly sure that was a real rat.

*****Wayne’s Point of View*****

Wayne laughed out loud. He could hear Cassie screaming at him so she was ok anyhow. They didn’t give her too much of the drug. He was only worried about that since she interested him in a sexual way. Otherwise dead was easier to handle. He wondered if she had found the envelope yet. He had set it in the cell before they brought her in. He wanted her to know what she did wrong as far as he was concerned.

*****Kimberley’s Point of View*****

She gulped in a deep breath of air and forced it back out. She clasped her hand over her mouth and she tried to process what Peter had just told her about Cassie being abducted by Wayne. This couldn’t be happening. “Oh my God Peter, please tell me this is not true. I can’t believe this is happening. She was really beginning to think that Wayne was bad news and determined to stay away from him, but you’re saying he just snatched her up?”

“I wish I was making this up Kimberley. I asked my mom to drive past the restaurant so I could check her car and it is still there for now. One of those guys might realize they need to get it and hide it, but for now, it is still parked behind the restaurant and it is almost midnight. She left work at 10 PM and they left right after that. It was a quick snatch and grab.”

“Mom gets done work at midnight. I am afraid to call her and tell her, but I have to tell her something. She expects Cassie to be here when she gets home. Listen, Peter, would your mom bring you by here to help me tell my Mom and figure out what to do?”

“Mom’s listening to the whole conversation and she says we’ll be right over. Hold on, Kimberley.”
