Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you.
You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise!
I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.
Your three words are:
By Tessa Dean May 2021
“Annie what is wrong? Izzy, is she ok?” their mom asked on seeing Annie crying in the corner of the lobby.
“Physically she’s fine, Mom, however she is terrified and I don’t know how she is going to do this. She can’t go into the audition with tears flowing or even red, puffy eyes because everyone will know she was crying. You talk to her and remind her that this was her decision.”
Mrs. Grissom put her arms around Annie and hugged her. She handed her a tissue and waited until Annie stopped crying. “Annie, you have to stop crying. It ruins that pretty face of yours. Tell me what is wrong now. I thought you were okay with coming to this audition.”
“Mom, I’m terrified and look at all these beautiful people. What makes us so unique? I don’t know if I can do this.”
“Need I remind you how much money you dad and I have put out on just your portfolio alone? Not to mention all the outfits you wore for those photos. Plus the cost of the makeup artist and hair stylist. You promised us this was your greatest desire. I know you are only seventeen and technically still a child, but you have wanted to be a model for a very long time. I am sure Izzy is terrified too, but she doesn’t let it hold her back. You need to get a grip on your emotions and go wash your face with cold water. Then reapply the light makeup like the professional showed you. Go on, go!”
