Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you.
You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise!
I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.
Your three words are:
By Tessa Dean May 2021
“Annie I told you to go wash your face in the restroom. There isn’t a lot of time before the auditions start.”
“Mom, I saw a little park outside of the building while I was looking up at the roof of this building. It had a few trees and some bushes and plants. Looks like it could use some tender loving care. I could see one of the plants about to crack open its pot. Could we go sit there for a bit? I have to get away from all of these people for a while,” Annie wiped her eyes again.
“Okay we can go for a little bit, but you have to promise me to try and calm down. Remember you are a strong individual and practice the relaxing techniques your therapist gave you. I have to let Izzy know where we are going and then we will head outside.”
Mrs. Grissom pulled Izzy aside. “Look Annie is really rattled and wants to go sit outside for a little bit. If your names are called, just go without her. If she can’t pull herself together I am not going to allow her fears to stand in your way. She is bordering on a panic attack and I don’t know if I can pull her out of it in time. Did you make a decision on the type of modeling you were interested in yet so I know where to go if she makes up her mind to do this?”
“I am more interested in runway modeling and I think Annie said the same thing, but you might want to ask her. We weren’t sure if we should go as individuals or as twins. The trouble with that is I don’t know if she can pull it off and like you say, I don’t want her ruining my chances. I love her dearly, but she can be a drag at times. We may be identical in looks, but as far as personality goes we are very different. Go ahead, I will be fine, even if I have to go in by myself, but remember if by some chance they offer me a chance to model for them, I will need your signature on the contract.”
Mrs. Grissom hugged Izzy and then headed over to where Annie was standing in the corner. I don’t know if I can help her or not.
