SHARE YOUR WORLD 5-31-2021 Memorial Day

What activity instantly calms you? It used to be reading, but I can’t seem to get into reading much lately. It also used to be writing, but even that is not calming now. Sometimes binging cooking shows of some sort even though I hate cooking. I am seriously anxious right now and almost nothing is calming.

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done lately? I don’t do things spontaneously. Perhaps cutting down on my hours of live streaming on YouTube could be one thing. I never thought I would make it official (made a video announcing my schedule change) and now I just have to remember not to schedule all those streams. I have been doing it automatically it seems.

If people receive a purple heart for bravery, what would other color hearts represent?  (Example yellow heart = cowardice) Well red makes me think of anger/rage. Green is money/wealth. Blue is medical related. Black is death.

What is the bravest thing you’ve ever done or witnessed someone else do? I had to think about this a bit. I think it would be the time the club I worked at caught on fire and I had to break the panic that was engulfing me and make a run for it with my coworkers. I came to a dead halt and someone had to drag me along making it dangerous for us both. He wouldn’t leave me and so I had to get up the courage and move. He was brave because he wouldn’t let me stay behind to die in the fire. I was simply frozen in terror. (Fire was an extreme phobia when I was a child. I am still terrified, but not as bad as I was as a child)

  1. Thanks, Tessa for being brave and Sharing Your World! I understand the anxiety and hope you can find relief soon. Have you tried soaking in a hot/warm bath for half an hour? There are natural calmers too…valerian (in capsule form) is supposed to do that, lavender in a spray or live is very soothing too. For myself, I finally got a medical prescription so I have medication to take when my anxiety gets out of control and I can’t calm down. But I do meditation and relaxation techniques I’ve learned from therapy too. I hope something works for you too. I’m so sorry. Your heart colors were amazing!! You really came up with some good ones! Have a better week!

    1. Thanks Melanie. Sadly my physical limitations do not allow me to take baths anymore and I miss them. I love hot baths. I take medications for my anxiety, but it is out of control plus I ran out due to my insurance company’s mistake. Hopefully they will be here soon. I hope you have a great week too!
