Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you.
You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.
I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise!
I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.
Your three words are:
By Tessa Dean June 2021
Eileen and Kyle were deliberating on where they should go to print out the report. “Wait, a minute, Kyle, I just thought of someone who might be able to help us. One of my coworkers has a husband who is a computer guy and he owns a computer business. I am sure she would be willing to help us as they went through their own stalking problem. They are also older and therefore not connected to the university. I know where they live although I know it is not polite to drop in unannounced, she is off work tonight so now would be a good time to go.”
Kyle figured she knew what she was doing and followed along. They hopped in Kyle’s car and headed off campus towards her coworker’s house at 2232 Martinsburg, Street in Angel’s Cove. Pulling up front of the house, Eileen started to have second thoughts. Would they help her or try to talk her out of it? She looked at Kyle and bit her lip.
Just then Sarah Callan came out of her house with a baby on each hip. They were about two years old and twins. One girl and one boy. She remembered when Sarah quit work because she was pregnant. She had since come back. She needed a break from constant motherhood she had told everyone. She wanted to talk to adults for a change. So she worked a few short shifts each week. A couple at night and her husband Scott watches the twins and a couple of mornings where her mother watches the twins.
Sarah walked up to the car. “Hey what are you two up to?” The twins were adorable. They were all dressed up.
Eileen was uneasy. Had they come at a bad time? “I hope we aren’t interrupting, but I wanted to aske a favor of your husband. Is he here or should I go over to the store?
Sarah said, “The twins are dressed up for their 2 year old pictures. I hope the photographer gets here soon as they are getting fussy now. They want to get down and play.” Ashleigh Rose was preening just like a little girl should, but Jonathan Thomas was shy and cowering behind his mother.
“When would be a good time for us to talk to him? It is rather important. I have to print out a background report on one of the university’s professors. He is stalking me and I wanted to confront him, but when I looked up his background I was shocked. I didn’t want to print it at school and I don’t have a printer. I was hoping your husband could help us.”
“Oh honey, I am so sorry. Look, here’s the photographer. Can you come back around 8 PM and we will talk then and print out your report?”
“Oh, thank you Mrs. Callan.”
“Please call me Sarah and my husband Scott. I will see you then.” She greeted the photographer and led him into the house.
