Thanks to Natalie the Explorer for hosting this prompt.

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I have started physical therapy on my broken foot. It still hurts something fierce and is very swollen. I was told it could take months for the pain to start to subside. Not what I wanted to hear.

I would tell you that I finally got book one to the editor and trying to decided what will be book 2 or even if there will be a book 2. I am not sure what I want to do. I am happier writing short stories and flash fiction and poetry, mainly haikus. I am stuck on whether if I do decide to do a series if it should be consecutive or concurrent. In other words the stories would be all around the same time so they would be standalone novels and it wouldn’t matter in what order you read them. I find consecutive hard because I already wrote short stories for most of them that just need a beginning and an end. They are all around the same age so consecutive would make them all older instead as the series continued. I am thinking of standalones which means more rewriting than I planned on.

I would tell you that they have restarted the art classes here where I live. They provide the teacher and the supplies so it doesn’t cost me anything.

Have a great week everyone.

    1. Thank you Maria. I wish there was something I could do about the pain, but it seems there isn’t anything I can do, but live with it.

I just sent the book to an editor and it seems I have some major changes it needs. Something I wasn’t aware of so I am going to wait before starting another one until I figure out what it is that needs to be fixed first.

      1. It’s usually a lot of little changes to be fixed when you send it to the editor, (I rewrote my last book three times.) Sending the first draft to your editor is still worthy of a big celebration, the rest will work itself out in time.

      2. Thanks Maria! I am learning new things as she is willing to help me learn. I had a few things backwards for one thing. She is helping me resort and lay it out right. Once I understand I will start on another book, but not until I understand what I am doing with this one. Or the same thing will happen.

    1. I enjoy the art classes and really missed them when they shut them down during the major part of the pandemic. My foot is problematic and I have been told it will take months to heal.

    1. Thanks Natlie. The art classes are a lot of fun and I never painted before. Tomorrow is another PT session. Plus my doctor appt for it. I scheduled them as close as possible as I could.
