Pensitivity101 Rules:

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Below are three things that may, or may not, be related. Simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you.
You can use one, two or all three words in your post, there are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and my logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post, then leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. You might like to check out some of the other contributions while you’re there.

I schedule the challenge to go out around 6.30 am UK time, but pingbacks have to be approved manually so might not show immediately. This could be because I’m late accessing my blog or due to time differences, but I will get there, I promise!
I look forward to reading your responses, and as always thank you all for your continued support.

Reflections (Part 2)

Written by Tessa Dean August 2021 (Part 1)

Unbelieving, Sabrina poked Serena again. “Ow!” Serena uttered. “I am real dammit. Quit poking me.”

Sabrina’s eyes widened as she took in the other girl. She pulled her sunglasses down off her face and looked again to make sure she was really seeing someone who looked just like her. Could it be true? Would her parents, not sure which one was her real parent now, do something like that? What a terrible thing to do to your children. She grew up as an only child and here she had a sister all along.

She pressed her hand to her forehead and closed her eyes as she was getting a headache from all of the thoughts whirling in her head.

Serena tapped Sabrina on the arm. “Hey, so did I surprise ya? I didn’t know how to approach you. I thought about writing you a letter, but I thought seeing is believing. You might just toss the letter from the crazy lady, but if you saw me in person you just might believe me. So I followed you around town for a couple of days and decided to follow you down here to the stream and it was perfect because I could walk up and just appear in the water next to you.”

“Oh you surprised me all right. Now I am feeling either gullible because you are teasing me or sad because if it is true our parents lied to us all these years and we could have been real sisters. I never had a brother or a sister. How about you?”

“I have a brother and a sister from my parents. I thought we were all real siblings until someone sent me a note from the hospital and told me that we had been separated at birth. They wouldn’t give a name, but I knew which hospital and the date and started looking into it. Amazing what you can find online nowadays. Actually I have another surprise for you. This will really amaze you.”
