Parking

by Tessa Dean November 2021

Living in the city had many disadvantages. One is the parking. I lived in an apartment atop the local book shop.

Finding a parking spot on a street that only had parallel parking meant I usually had to park lots of streets away and walk no matter the time or weather.

Maybe I should move back to the country where I was born and raised. There I didn’t have to deal with parallel parking and it was quieter too. Living atop a store that was noisy during the day when I needed quiet to concentrate on my writing was frustrating.

  1. Tessa,
Finding a parking space would be bad enough, but then the noisy store below too: I think I would move to the country and write to my heart’s content!
