Living in the city had many disadvantages. One is the parking. I lived in an apartment atop the local book shop.

Finding a parking spot on a street that only had parallel parking meant I usually had to park lots of streets away and walk no matter the time or weather.

Maybe I should move back to the country where I was born and raised. There I didn’t have to deal with parallel parking and it was quieter too. Living atop a store that was noisy during the day when I needed quiet to concentrate on my writing was frustrating.

    1. My daughter lived in an apartment over a bridal store. It wasn’t as busy as some places were. But parking was a pain and she had little ones to drag around plus groceries, etc.
