I would tell you that I am suffering from my allergies, and my insurance has flat out refused the recommended medicines so I have to use two nasal sprays daily instead of one to get the hopefully desired effect. Some days it works and some days it doesn’t.

Still struggling to write. The prompts aren’t helping so far. I used to look at the prompt and have an idea pop into my mind, but now I just look at it and then say “forget it!”

One of my daughters and family took me out for Mother’s Day Dinner on Wednesday. I had a great steak and it was like cutting butter. No struggling with gristle.

Have a great week, everyone.

I would tell you that I am suffering from my allergies, and my insurance doesn’t want to cover the medicine that my doctor wants to use. So what else is new?

I am not writing much, but I have been working on doing more each time.

I didn’t finish NANO, but I am doing my first live stream in about 6 months time. Time to get back into life.

Have a great week, everyone.

I would tell you that I am suffering from my allergies. It seems they are worse this year, and more people than ever are suffering from them. It doesn’t help my breathing.

Still impatiently waiting for word from the assisted living facility. I am not the most patient person in the world, and my nerves are raw.

My aide is waiting for the assisted living to open, too, since she hopes to work there.

I am not writing much, but I have been working on doing more each time. I doubt I will complete NANO this month. I only set a goal of 5000 words and I am almost halfway there which is more than I have been writing.

Have a great week, everyone.

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my dad is still hanging in here despite being put on Hospice Care before Christmas with little time expected to live.

I would tell you that I went to the Emergency Room on March 12th, and I didn’t have Covid, but I did have the Flu, and it seemed to take forever to go away, and I still have occasional symptoms. The doctor wanted me to possibly have another Covid test, but the antibiotic he added to the mix seemed to help. I think I had another case of bronchitis. They have the same symptoms almost.

Still impatiently waiting for word from the assisted living facility. I am not the most patient person in the world, for sure, and my nerves are raw between waiting for an answer from the facility and waiting on word about my father. It has been months now, and still no word. I tried calling twice, and it got me nowhere. I found an email address and was told they still don’t have their state license.

And at least I still have an aide who comes steadily, even if it is way too early for me. She arrives at 7 AM, and I am a night person.

I am not writing much, I have switched to reading. I have found an author whose stories I like, but her characters suck. I am still reading them and I am almost finished her current sets of series. It’s her main characters that I don’t like. Supporting characters are fine.

Have a great week, everyone.

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I quit physical therapy on my foot although they have me down for physical therapy for the rest of my body.

I would tell you that I spend more time at the hospital than I do in my own apartment. In the last 4 weeks I spent 3 different times in the hospital for an average of 3-4 days each time. I have hardly touched my blog this last month and now it is time to prep for NANOWRIMO and I have no idea what I want to write although I am thinking about changing my genre to romance.

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am continuing my physical therapy but for some reason the pain is now increasing. They are increasing the amount of exercise so that might be part of it. I am beginning to worry about the increasing pain. I know they said it would take a few months, but is it good to be going backwards with the pain?

I would tell you that I am still doing live streams on YouTube, but the attendance is way down. I just got ambushed by a group of nasty people the other night on Twitch. Stuff like that makes me wonder why I do this. I have my little group, but even they are slowly dwindling away. I know they are still around since I run into them in other streams. So what am I doing wrong?

Still impatiently waiting for word from the assisted living facility. I am not the most patient person in the world for sure and my nerves are raw between waiting for an answer and dealing with this lousy aide agency. I am entitled to an aid for 20 hours per week. The normal being M-F 4 hours per day. I am lucky if I get one for an hour once a week. My place is a mess and I worry about bugs since no one is cleaning around here. I can’t do laundry so have been wearing the same clothes so I don’t totally run out. My daughter just might have to do my laundry for me whether she likes it or not.

I need to find a therapist. Things are going downhill fast. The stress is tremendous.

Have a great week everyone.

#WeekendCoffeeShare : Book Reviews, Streaming and Depression

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am continuing my physical therapy but for some reason the pain is now increasing. They are increasing the amount of exercise so that might be part of it.

I would tell you that I am still doing live streams on YouTube, but the attendance is way down. There are more people streaming than ever, plus everyone is worn out from all the writing for NANOWRIMO in July. Sometimes I wonder why I bother for just a few people. There are some people that still get a decent amount of viewers, but there are so many streaming now that everybody gets a few.

I had a meeting with the people from this newest facility. It was a medical and financial review. The place would be great in so many aspects, but there are also a lot of people applying for a spot. The place is not fully built yet so move-in wouldn’t be until 30 to 60 days most likely. Everyone gets their own private room with a bath and kitchenette. The kitchenette has lots of cabinets, a microwave and a fridge with a small freezer. All meals are provided in the dining room so that would be more for snacks or if you wanted something other than what they were serving. My anxiety is high as I wait for a decision and I have no idea when that will be made.

I would tell you that I finally got an answer from my psychiatrist. It took a while. She wanted to keep adding all these anti-depressants that I have already taken and can’t take. I was really getting frustrated and finally pinned her down and asked why can’t I go back to my normal dose of the medication I was taking. Normally she is on the ball, but she gave me some crazy answer and told me how she can’t remember my old records and she doesn’t have them anymore and on and on. Finally she agreed that I can go back to the normal dose. Hopefully this helps. I am tired of the deep depression and having no desire to do anything, but sleep.

Have a great week everyone.

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am continuing my physical therapy and the pain is finally lessening in my foot. Nothing I can do about the rest of me.

I would tell you that Book One has some issues. I am having trouble with my layout it seems. My editor is helping me lay it out right. I seem to have chapters and scenes switched for one thing and the multiple POVs (point of views) are causing another problem. I have started another book, but am trying to outline it which is not my thing. Still haven’t decided whether to have a series or not, but I have started one for now.

I would tell you that my depression is deepening and I have contacted my psychiatrist who is away until 8/3. I have to do something besides sleep all day and all night. That is almost all that I do anymore and occasionally I will eat something.

Have a great week everyone.

#WeekendCoffeeShare : Physical Therapy

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I have started physical therapy on my broken foot. It still hurts something fierce and is very swollen. I was told it could take months for the pain to start to subside. Not what I wanted to hear.

I would tell you that I finally got book one to the editor and trying to decided what will be book 2 or even if there will be a book 2. I am not sure what I want to do. I am happier writing short stories and flash fiction and poetry, mainly haikus. I am stuck on whether if I do decide to do a series if it should be consecutive or concurrent. In other words the stories would be all around the same time so they would be standalone novels and it wouldn’t matter in what order you read them. I find consecutive hard because I already wrote short stories for most of them that just need a beginning and an end. They are all around the same age so consecutive would make them all older instead as the series continued. I am thinking of standalones which means more rewriting than I planned on.

I would tell you that they have restarted the art classes here where I live. They provide the teacher and the supplies so it doesn’t cost me anything.

Have a great week everyone.

#WeekendCoffeeShare : New Bed

Natalie’s Guidelines and newest post is here.

Coffee, Pen, Notebook, Caffeine, Cup

Thanks to Natalie the Explorer for hosting this prompt.

Grab yourself a beverage and pull up a chair. If we were having coffee I would tell you that after 20 years I have finally gotten myself a new bed. I dropped from a full size to a twin bed which is a little strange to get used to after having a full bed all to myself for over 21 years. Plus it is firm and my back was feeling it at first. I wonder how I will feel tomorrow after sleeping on it all night. I bought the bed unseen. Since my foot is still in a walking boot and getting around so difficult I called a mattress store and asked if it was possible to buy a bed over the phone, pay for it and have it delivered, plus have the old bed taken away. They said yes and a couple of days later I have a new bed and Amazon delivered the bedding the night before even though it was due to be delivered on the same day. Everything worked out.

I am slowly working on my novel again. I have just over a week to stop tweaking it. I rewrote the beginning and the ending and hope I got all the repetition out of the middle.

I still have the walking boot on my foot as it hasn’t fully healed yet and I was supposed to get orthotics, but was told my Medicare will not cover it and I don’t have another $500 plus dollars lying around. I never got a chance to wear my new diabetic shoes with their inserts so he is going to try and form the inserts into a support for my foot. Till then and another x-ray I am still in a walking boot.

Monday I see my pain management doctor and I hope that he can find something to do about all of this pain now that I can’t take one of my pain meds because of the blood thinner for the blood clots. I can barely move now.

Have a great week everyone.
