Welcome to Share Your World!

Melanie’s Rules:

I will post four or five different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a Share Your World post.  Then post the link to that blog post or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World”  and link it to this post.
  3.  Ping-backs are activated, but how efficiently varies.  I don’t manually approve them, but sometimes they don’t show up immediately.  Why is an unsolved mystery.   You may wish to leave a link to your blog post in the comments just to be sure.  Thanks!

QUESTIONS

What should you get rid off, that would make your new year better, and why? (Don’t say Covid-19, we all want to get rid of the dang virus)   I snagged this question from another blogger, but failed to note who thought it up.  My apologies!  I KNOW better than to trust my memory any more.  If it’s your question and you’d like credit, please let me know!  Great question too, in my opinion! I know this is related, but I have to say wearing a mask. I have severe asthma and breathing through a mask is very difficult. If you don’t have asthma you have no idea how hard it is to breathe through a mask especially some of those cloth ones that are double lined.

What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? I think would say learning to dive. I am terrified of putting my head under water and that includes learning to snorkel and finding myself in a giant fish bowl with foot long angel fish charging up for food. I was absolutely terrified.

Does your family have a “motto” – spoken or unspoken? Honesty is the best policy. I can’t stand lying.

On a scale of 1-10 how funny would you say you are?  (this does not mean ‘smell’ or looks; because this is a judgment free blog!) Not very. Occasionally I will pop out with something funny, but usually I am about a 1.

QUESTIONS

Pick three words to describe this past year.   (please keep them PG. Thanks). Lonely, Crazy, and Unruly!

What were the best books you read this year?   Or the best movie you saw?  I am reading craft books on writing (I finished a novel this year) and my favorite so far is “Save the Cat Goes to the Movies” by Blake Snyder.

Because there was lots of time for looking inward, what is one big personal lesson you learned this past year? There are still some good people out there despite what we see in the news.

Do you think Covid has strengthened or weakened societal bonds? In some cases I would say weakened as we have been forced to stay away from each other, but there have been so many cases of people helping others that they normally wouldn’t do.
