It’s Raining, It’s Snowing!

It was a rainy, cold, and windy day as I stared out the window, wishing I could go out and play. It was only yesterday when the weather was hot, and the rain puddles had been great for splashing in. Suddenly the temperatures dropped, and the puddles turned to ice, and now the snow was coming down in large, wet flakes. They canceled our baseball game due to the soggy fields already covered in mud from yesterday’s rain and now freezing over. It was some of the craziest weather I had ever seen.
I was bored, and Mom wanted us to read or play a board game. The kids all wanted to play outside. Maybe she will let us go out and play in the snow later on if it wasn’t too windy and cold. As we pleaded with her to let us go out, she said maybe. I didn’t want to hear maybe. I wanted to go out, although I wanted yesterday’s hot weather and sunshine, not the cold, rainy, and windy weather we had now. We needed to practice for baseball tryouts on the weekend. Not many days left.
