Three Things Challenge #M128

Prompt Rules:

Welcome to my daily Three Things Challenge!
Our numbers now begin with a prefix of M (the Roman numeral for 1000) and I’ve introduced a theme each week. The words can be used in a variety of contexts, so use your imagination and see where your creativity takes you. Your post doesn’t have to be connected to the theme and you can use all three words, two or just one. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre, but please keep it family friendly.
Tag your responses with 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC, and add my logo if you wish.

This week’s theme is THE WEATHER
Your three words today are:
SLEET
FOG
MIST

The Fog!

By Tessa Dean October 2022

The air was still slightly warm, but a cold front was coming creating a misty fog. The heat was on, and I didn’t want to turn it up higher, but with the possibility of sleet arriving during the night, we might have to turn it up some more as we didn’t want our new baby to get too chilled. It was bad enough that he was already sick with a cold or something. We needed to keep him warm.

He was swaddled, but I also put another blanket over him. I held him in my arms so he would get some of my body heat. My husband threw a blanket over the two of us since I was also starting to feel the chill.

Fun Weekends

by Tessa Dean October 2022

James and Ginny parked their little trailer under the nearest copse of trees and began to unload and set up their campsite. The trailer contained everything they would need for their weekend camping trip.

Shelves had been built into the trailer to hold all the camping gear, including the tents, chairs, and a camping stove and lanterns.

They also had entertainment for both the adults and the two children. James had his guitar because it always went where he went. The family loved sing-a-longs around the campfire, plus s’mores. They packed some wood in case there were no logs available.

Linda’s Rules:

If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.

NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!
