Three Things Challenge #M146

Prompt Rules:

Welcome to my daily Three Things Challenge!
Our numbers now begin with a prefix of M (the Roman numeral for 1000) and I’ve introduced a theme each week. The words can be used in a variety of contexts, so use your imagination and see where your creativity takes you. Your post doesn’t have to be connected to the theme and you can use all three words, two or just one. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre, but please keep it family friendly.
Tag your responses with 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC, and add my logo if you wish.

This week’s theme is FEARS
Your three words today are:
HEIGHTS
INSECTS
RATS

Vermin!

By Tessa Dean November 2022

Monica was standing on the ladder and battling her fear of heights. While she was up there, she found a hole in the side of her house and was startled to see many insects had infested her home. She quickly climbed down and saw a rat dart out of the cellar and disappear. She was horrified as she feared all vermin and insects.

Fiction, Prompt, Word of the Day Challenge

Homeless – Word of the Day Challenge

Rules for the Word of the Day Challenge:

Today’s word of the day is HOMELESS.

********************

The homeless man sat along the side of the road and begged for money for food, he claimed. One smart woman said I won’t give you cash, but I will go to the restaurant and buy you some food.

Oh no, ma’am, I don’t like that restaurant, please just give me money for some food. She disagreed. She said you will only get food if I buy it for you. I do not trust you to use the money for food. If you were really hungry, you would take a meal from there, and no questions or objections would be raised.

He looked uncomfortable and then got up and moved on. He wanted the money for alcohol, and she wasn’t falling for it, and everyone around them heard it too.

Thanks to Natalie, the Explorer, for hosting this prompt.

Grab a chair and something to drink. If you were here, I would tell you that we still do not have hot water, but they promised the part for Monday.

The resident amount is rising, and we are still understaffed. Our BINGO games are getting bigger, and we keep running out of chips to use.

NaNoWriMo is coming along, but 50,000 words for the month, that is a lot of words.

I sold my car yesterday and, I started to spend the money as I have to spend it per Medicaid. I can’t have too much money in my bank account. I have a tv to get hung up. It is a Roku tv. I also bought a new computer chair and it is very comfortable. Plus I bought a new walker and I ordered a computer desk. Now I just have to get most of it put together. The walker was together and my daughter put the computer chair together since my other one broke. That leaves mounting the tv on the wall and putting together the desk once it arrives.

My only granddaughter and her first dance. She’s turning into a beautiful young lady. She’s almost 17 now.

Have a great week, everyone.
