Welcome to my daily Three Things Challenge!
Our numbers now begin with a prefix of M (the Roman numeral for 1000) and I’ve introduced a theme each week. The words can be used in a variety of contexts, so use your imagination and see where your creativity takes you. Your post doesn’t have to be connected to the theme and you can use all three words, two or just one. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre, but please keep it family friendly.
Tag your responses with 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC, and add my logo if you wish.

This week’s theme is EMOTIONS
Your three words today are:
LOVE
SADNESS
LOYALTY

As One Life Ends!

By Tessa Dean October 2022

Sandy sat by the side of her 16 year old cat and comforted her as much as possible. She loved Mazy with all her heart, but she had seen a kitten for free at her neighbors house and would have loved to have her, but she was loyal to Mazy and cried in sadness as she was told by her parents that Mazy was dying and it would be a loving gesture to have the vet put her to sleep and out of her misery.

Sandy cried and didn’t know what to do. She felt that as long as Mazy was alive she couldn’t get another kitten to replace her although her neighbors had to get rid of the last kitten they had. She was torn in her thoughts. If she put Mazy to sleep would it be disloyal to get another kitten so soon? Her parents told her it was her choice.

Finally she made the decision to put Mazy to sleep and cried while the vet made the injection to end the misery of the dearly loved cat. Despite the situation she decided it was only right for her to be there for Mazy as she passed from this life.

She spent the night crying and trying to decide if she wanted another kitten so soon or at all. She hated the thought of possibly having to do this again.

The next morning she told her mother she had a dream about Mazy and she was playing with a beautiful black kitten. The neighbor’s kitten was black and she felt the dream meant that Mazy thought she should get the kitten and so they went to the neighbors and she picked up the new kitten. It was a female and she named her Misty.
