Non-Fiction, Prompt, Share Your World

SHARE YOUR WORLD 10-3-2022

**************************************

Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song?  Or a song you rarely hear except around a holiday. “They’re Coming to Take Me Away Ha Ha!”

Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision? Yes and I believe in ghosts.

Which urban legend scares you the most? (most countries have such stories – share yours if you would like to) The Jersey Devil

You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do? Panic and then hide if I can’t get out of the house.

There are two ways in which you can participate:

Create a Share Your World post.

  • Leave your answers in the comments box of this post or write your own post.
  • To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World” and link it to this post.
  • Ping-backs are activated, but don’t always work properly.  I think it is best to leave a link in a comment, just to be sure.  It’s okay to just leave the link if you like and don’t have anything else to chat about. If you’d still like to try leaving a ping-back,  instructions on how ping-backs work are found by clicking here.  Thanks!

I also offer a ‘Gratitude Section’ for those who like a little affirmation with their questions!  It’s always optional to participate in that portion of  SYW of course.

Some questions might be recycled from time to time.  Sorry if they come too close together!  The number of interesting questions (in my opinion) is finite.   I try to mix them up judiciously but bungle this sometimes.

Caring or Uncaring Personnel!

By Tessa Dean October 2022

Where I live now is a facility and it is staffed with lots of personnel entrusted with our care. Many of them are thoughtful and caring and we are always happy to see them on the different shifts. However, like anywhere there are people that don’t care about others or their feelings. I just spent a very uncomfortable weekend without my pain pills and since they are narcotics there was pain and the chance of withdrawal and some of them didn’t care. They wouldn’t even give me Tylenol. Really now! The weekend is finally over and at 6 PM I got my first pill since Friday afternoon. I had a rough weekend, but at last it is over and I am feeling better.

So Many Tools

Packing is never fun and here I was packing for a move to a very small room in an assisted living facility. We started pulling out tubs and boxes and trying to get rid of as much as possible, but we started finding tubs, boxes and bags of tools in one of the closets. I was totally startled and not sure where they came from. They certainly weren’t mine. Well it turns out they were my sons who I was told had asked permission to store them although I don’t remember it, but it must be true because he didn’t have a key to my apartment. We got rid of a lot of tools and other belongings of his because I couldn’t bring them with me.

My smile:

After being out of pain meds (narcotics) for 3 days I finally just got one a couple of hours ago.

(I was not smiling this weekend for sure. I was afraid it was going to mean another trip to the hospital since I am dependent on them and in serious pain)
