November 2022 Weekend Coffee Share #96

Natalie’s Guidelines and newest post is here.

Thanks to Natalie, the Explorer, for hosting this prompt.

Grab a chair and something to drink. If you were here, I would tell you that we finally have hot water and can take showers in our own rooms. Yeah!

Each day seems like the one before it. Not much variety in life right now. I have a new tv now and can watch tv now instead of just Amazon Prime on my computer. It is a 50-inch tv, and it is great.

NaNoWriMo is coming along slowly still.

My desk is finally together. Now I have space to do things besides just work on my computer. I can color or do puzzles, and there is room for my organizer, and I can write in it lying flat instead of jammed sideways in between my keyboard and my printer.

Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving celebration which is going to be a big disaster. They allowed families to come, and there isn’t enough room for all of us and our walkers to get through because of the table setups. Plus, it is a buffet, and most of us can’t carry plates and push our walkers when there is no room between all the chairs. Inviting the families was ridiculous. We have enough trouble with just the residents. I can’t wait until it is over. I wish I could avoid all the disastrous drama tomorrow.

Have a great week, everyone.

Deliver – Your Daily Word Prompt

Rules for One Daily Prompt:

Your word for the day is DELIVER!

********************

I used to deliver newspapers by bicycle when I was a teenager. I got great tips because I ensured every customer was satisfied with my delivery. I put the paper exactly where they wanted it, even if it meant getting off my bike to deliver it.

Three Things Challenge #M152

Prompt Rules:

Welcome to my daily Three Things Challenge!
Our numbers now begin with a prefix of M (the Roman numeral for 1000) and I’ve introduced a theme each week. The words can be used in a variety of contexts, so use your imagination and see where your creativity takes you. Your post doesn’t have to be connected to the theme and you can use all three words, two or just one. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre, but please keep it family friendly.
Tag your responses with 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC, and add my logo if you wish.

This week’s theme is FLOWERS
Your three words today are:
ROSE
STEM
PETAL

I’ll Take a Dozen!

By Tessa Dean November 2022

The dozen roses were beautiful. I cut the stems to an equal length and placed them in a vase. The next morning the petals had fallen off of most of them.

#SoCS, Non-Fiction, Prompt

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Nov. 19, 2022

**********

I hate early mornings. I prefer to get up around noon instead.

**********

Linda’s Rules for #SoCS!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “morning.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

After you’ve written your Saturday post tomorrow, please link it here to this week’s prompt page and check to make sure it’s here in the comments so others can find it and see your awesome Stream of Consciousness post. Anyone can join in!

To make your post more visible, use our beautiful SoCS badge! Just paste it in your Saturday post so people browsing the reader will immediately know your post is stream of consciousness and/or pin it as a widget to your site to show you’re a participant. Wear it with pride!!

2019-2020 SoCS Badge by Shelley!
https://www.quaintrevival.com/

Here are the rules:

1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing (typos can be fixed), and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.

2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.

3. I will post the prompt here on my blog every Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a particular subject. For instance, I will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” “Begin with the word ‘The,’” or will simply be a single word to get you started.

4. Ping back! It’s important, so that I and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write “This post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of this post into yours.  Your link will show up in my comments for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top. NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, such as Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read all of them! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later or go to the previous week by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find below the “Like” button on my post.

6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!

7. As a suggestion, tag your post “SoCS” and/or “#SoCS” for more exposure and more views.

8. Have fun!
