The guard was supposed to stop people from grabbing the gift boxes on display. One little boy outsmarted everyone by crawling through their legs and grabbing a box, sitting on the floor, and unwrapping it. He started crying when he realized it was a fake gift.

Carnival

By Tessa Dean December 2022

The carnival had a dunk tank, and the town’s mayor was one of the people waiting to be dunked. Everyone had missed so far, so he thought he was safe from a dunking. However, a teenager high on pot fired a shot and dunked the mayor. The mayor climbed out, spitting out water and rubbing the water out of his eyes. He knew that kid. He was a local troublemaker.

Christmas Display

By Tessa Dean December 2022

The museum went all out to decorate for the holidays. This year the focus was on a shiny bright carriage. Gifts were stacked all around it, and an elf read out a poem dealing with the different holidays being celebrated every hour on the hour. The display was admired by many who visited the museum for the holidays.

A guard stood nearby as there were no ropes to keep the people from touching the display. One small child crawled through the legs and unwrapped one of the gifts. They soon put ropes around the display and hired more guards so it wouldn’t happen again.
