FOWC with Fandango — Altercation Plus The Three Things Challenge Plus The Word of the Day Challenge

Fandango’s Rules For the One Word Challenge

FOWC

Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.). Today’s word is altercation.

I am also using the Three Things Challenge for today #M714.

Your three words today are:
SEETHE
BUBBLE
FROTH

**********

I am also using the Word of the Day Challenge which is Brewmaster.

Becca watched the altercation between her two sisters. Suddenly, Elizabeth punched Amanda in the mouth. Becca was seething, and she rushed to Amanda’s side. Blood was starting to bubble from her lip, tiny specks frothing onto her clothing.

“Stop it, you two. Someone is going to get seriously hurt. What are you fighting about anyway?”

Elizabeth turned toward Becca and said, “She’s been seeing my boyfriend behind my back. Johnny told me he had a date with her tonight, and we were supposed to go out. He canceled on me for her. He flat out told me he was going to take her rather than me. I am so angry right now. Where did you meet Johnny anyhow?”

“Elizabeth, you have a right to be angry, but you should take it out on Johnny, not Amanda. I didn’t even know you had a boyfriend, Elizabeth, did you, Amanda?”

Amanda shook her head. “She never mentioned him, and he never told anyone either. I met him at the class I take to be a brewmaster. I never would have accepted the date if I had known. I am so sorry this happened. I will cancel it immediately and give him a piece of my mind. Please forgive me, Amanda. I never should have punched you.”

Reluctantly, Amanda accepted the apology and hugged her sister. She pulled out her phone and, with her two sisters standing there listening to the call on speakerphone, she said, “Johnny, I just found out that you are dating my sister, and I am canceling ouir date, and you had better not call me ever again. How could you make a date behind my sister’s back like that? It is so wrong. Oh, by the way, Elizabeth is listening to this conversation and wants to talk to you right now..”

“No, please don’t say anything, Elizabeth. I was just going to take her out for some coffee. It wasn’t a real date. You are my girlfriend,” he pleaded with her.

“Johnny, no boyfriend of mine is going to take my sister out for coffee and indicate that it was a date, which Amanda thought it was, according to her. She told me she had a date with a cool guy she met in class, while they were learning about the brewing process. He was taking her to a nice restaurant for dinner. You must have said something to make her think that. I won’t have it. We are through. I don’t want to see you again,” and she hung up the phone as he was still talking.

Amanda, tears in her eyes, apologized once again and hugged her sister. “I don’t know what he was thinking.”
