I used The Writer’s Workshop by John Holton.
Here are the prompts for this week’s Writer’s Workshop:
- Write a post based on the word: loyalty.
- Write a post in exactly 10 sentences.
- Tell us about a something (e.g. a toy) that you wanted as a child (for Christmas or your birthday) , but never received.
- Tell us about the best and/or the worst manager you ever had, and why they were best or worst.
- Write about a recurring dream you’ve had or are currently having.
- What TV character did you want to be as a kid? Why?
I chose numbers 1 and 2.

Susan believed in loyalty to everyone. You don’t have to be just her spouse for her to be loyal. She believes that loyalty is an important feature in all relationships. Therefore, she was shocked to find out that her husband, Mark, and her best friend, Janie, had been sneaking around behind her back. Neither of them cared if she knew. When she found out, she immediately demanded a divorce and got a lawyer.
Mark, in a display of arrogance, decided that he didn’t need a lawyer. After all, he was in law school, and he believed he could handle his own divorce proceedings. He underestimated Susan, thinking her demands for alimony were nothing more than a pipe dream. Imagine his surprise when the judge awarded her more than half of his salary for her alimony.
